- Built for
- Lean B2B marketing and growth teams whose buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Claude before they visit a website, and agencies running the same loop across client brands.
- What it does
- It checks those answers every week, finds the gaps, and turns each one into a ranked queue of content worth making, drafted in your voice. A person approves everything before it ships.
Compare / Trovance vs Outrank
Trovance vs Outrank.
Who each is for.
Trovance makes a competing product, so this is our comparison, not an independent review.
Outrank researches keywords, writes and publishes an SEO article to your site every day, and builds backlinks, so Google and AI assistants have more of your pages to quote. Trovance is for lean B2B teams that want to see what AI assistants answer about them first, and turn each gap into a draft a person approves.

What each one is.
- Built for
- Entrepreneurs, e-commerce stores and agencies that want organic content published on auto-pilot, for one site or many.
- What it does
- Outrank turns keyword research on your niche and competitors into a 30-day plan you approve, then writes and auto-publishes an article a day to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer and other platforms, with AI images and backlinks placed on other blogs. It aims at Google rankings and AI citations together. It doesn’t check AI answers itself: in the product you track rankings, indexed pages and backlinks, and Outrank points to third-party tools such as Ahrefs for AI citation counts.
Which should you choose?
Choose Trovance if…
- You want to see what AI assistants answer about you, from a weekly check of your buyer questions, before deciding what to publish.
- You want each piece tied to a gap in a real answer, ranked by the evidence behind it.
- You want a later check of the same buyer question after a piece ships, to see whether the answer moved.
Choose Outrank if…
- You want an SEO article published to your site every day without writing it, from $99 a month.
- You want backlinks built for you inside the same subscription.
- You publish on Shopify, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Notion or Ghost and want articles to land there automatically.
- You run many sites: discounts reach 20% at 20 sites, and agencies run every client from one dashboard.
The real differences.
Checks AI answers
Weekly: ChatGPT and Perplexity on Starter, all five engines on Growth and Agency.
Not in the product: it tracks rankings, indexed pages and backlinks, and cites Ahrefs for the AI citation counts on its site.
What decides the next piece
A gap in an observed AI answer, ranked in your queue with the evidence that earned its place.
Keyword and question research on your niche and competitors, set out as a 30-day plan you approve.
How much it writes
Unlimited drafts on every plan; you choose what ships.
30 articles a month, or 60 or 90 with add-ons, each 1,200 to 1,700 words.
Approval and publishing
A person approves before anything ships; publish to WordPress or a signed webhook, with a receipt.
You approve a 30-day plan, then articles publish on their day to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, Wix, Notion, Ghost or a webhook. You can pre-create any article up to 7 days ahead to review, edit and approve it, and Outrank’s FAQ says each is first saved as a draft in your platform for review.
Links and authority
Trovance doesn’t build links; it charts where engines cite you and where they don’t.
Backlinks placed in articles on other blogs, paid for with credits your site earns by hosting links; more credits from $199 a month.
Pricing model
$99, $249 or $599 a month, published, with unlimited drafts.
$99 a month or $999 a year for 30 articles a month, with unlimited users; add-ons include 60 articles (+$85 a month) and human editing ($1,399 a month).
The plan matters as much as the platform.
Outrank sells one plan, Organic Growth, with add-ons for more articles, backlinks, free tools and human editing. Here it is beside Trovance Starter, at the same monthly price.
Outrank’s add-ons include 60 or 90 articles a month (+$85 or +$160 a month), backlink plans from $199 a month and a Human Curated Service at $1,399 a month. Discounts of 10% to 20% apply from 2 sites.
Outrank offers a free trial whose articles carry an Outrank watermark. Trovance’s Starter trial is 14 days, with a card at checkout.
A few good questions.
Does Outrank track AI visibility?
Not inside the product. Outrank says you track rankings, indexed pages and backlinks there, and that the AI citation counts on its site come from Ahrefs. It suggests keeping any tracker you like to watch citations arrive.
How does Outrank aim to get brands into AI answers?
It publishes answer-ready articles on your domain every day and builds references and backlinks, on the view that AI assistants cite pages that rank and get referenced. It doesn’t promise a mention: its own FAQ says nobody controls what an assistant says.
Can we review Outrank’s articles before they publish?
Yes. You approve a 30-day plan, and you can pre-create any scheduled article up to 7 days ahead to review, edit and approve it before it auto-publishes on its day. Outrank’s FAQ also says each article is first saved as a draft in your chosen platform, to review there before you publish.
Can we use Outrank and Trovance together?
They do different jobs, so they can sit side by side: Trovance to find the buyer questions AI answers without you and draft the pieces for those gaps, Outrank to keep a daily SEO publishing cadence. Agree which tool owns which topics so the two don’t publish overlapping pages.
What should we test before choosing?
Pick one buyer question your company should own. In Trovance, read the current answer and the draft it proposes; in Outrank, read the keyword plan and the article it writes. Compare which fits how your team reviews and publishes.
We compare these tools as fairly as we can. Spot something that’s wrong or out of date? Tell us, and we’ll fix it or say why not.
